Minnesota
I'm safely back in MN now. My mom is feeding me tasty treats non-stop and the snow has been accumulating by the minute. It's good to be home...

Several stitches later...
Ok. I unexpectedly had a few stitches near my arm yesterday. The doctor assures me that I'll be fine by the time I leave for my bike trip on January 9th. Given that I had a minor surgery yesterday, I spent the night sleeping instead of packing. Dale=hero of the night. That means that I'm packing now and I'm praying that I won't forget some of my trip's essentials. Helmet, pedals, seat, etc. I have a brand new Surly Cross-check touring bike waiting for me in Minnesota. I know it is rather moronic to start a ~3,100 mile ride with a new bike. Trust me, I'll figure it out...

Getting Closer...
Today is the last Sunday I will spend in Jackson, WY for a couple months. Thus far, my weekend has been filled with two Christmas parties, winning bags and bags of chocolate, snow shoe-ing, an elk steak dinner with good friends, church, swimming, biking and spending time with Dale. Also, yesterday I opened the wet suit Dale got me for Christmas and I frolicked around my condo feeling like a super hero. (We're doing a half Ironman on June first.) Awesome.
I am so content with my life.
My upcoming cycling adventure consumes most of my thoughts. Keep our safety in your prayers! I haven't been to CA, NM, TX, LA, MS or AL.
